100 Years and Growing
Willem Huizenga migrated to Grand Rapids in 1891 and purchased the land in 1908 and the farm began. His son Louis Huizenga farmed until his death in 1946. William "Bill" and Charles "Chuck" continued farming after their Father's death. Lettuce and tomatoes were grown in the greenhouses. Geraniums were first grown in the early 1960s. Little by little more and more flowers were grown.
Now Chuck's only son, Louie and his wife Cindy are owner and operators. Our sons Scott, Chad, and Matt have worked in the greenhouse since middle school.
Daughters, Pamela, and Rebecca help in the retail.
Matt is now in charge of day to day operations and hopes to continue on the long tradition that is
